Disc golf market research study

Disc Golf Dealer is launching a 2 week disc golf market research study via this blog post. I have a business adviser helping me on my third attempt at starting my own business. The questions we would like answered are 1. what type of disc golf gifts would you like to see in disc golf themed gift box? 2. what disc golf supplies to you find yourself buying each month? Please feel free to offer your 2 cents in the comments below. Any information will be helpful. Also, be sure to share this with your disc golf friends. I will be presenting my findings to my adviser on 9/20/16.

The best 3 disc golf apparel images

We are in the process of adding some awesome artwork to our Disc Golf Dealer product catalog. Up and coming artist B.A. Sias has thrown her hat into the ring and brought three unique images to the table including the Disc Golf is Out of this World theme, The Disc Golf spelled in chains image and the Out of this World disc golf basket image. She will also be creating many more original artwork images to be added soon. We will be working hard to add these new images to as many products as possible over the next week. For now we are still operating exclusively through Zazzle, however we plan to do some bulk printing of our popular sellers in the future to offer our loyal customers lower prices. These bulk shirts will be offered to our email subscribers and social media followers with the remaining going up for sale on our website. Our best sellers by far have been our Disc Golf for kids and baby line. So we plan to have some of these designs printed up in bulk after determining our best sellers as well. Be sure to visit our site and sign up for our email list to be the first to see our latest additions and receive exclusive offers.

Disc Golf Dealer t-shirt review

We have created and sold a few designs via Zazzle.com over the years. Our first designs were very crude, including only text. So naturally we have sold very few items, only about a dozen in roughly 6-7 years registered with them. However we hope that is about to change as we have decided to focus our effort into this venture and have now created some awesome original images to add to our designs. By putting these images with our slogans, quotes and other funny sayings, we have created some awesome apparel and accessories. We decided to order one of the items we created in effort to do a quality inspection and see what we were putting our name on. The Quit Playing with your balls Disc Golf shirt is a favorite around here. It has one of the images we created and the funniest saying we have made to date(in my opinion). So basically, that is what I picked. In effort to be cheap I selected the economy shirt. However this design has a word on the back so it is $2 more. My total after shipping and all came out to just over $25. For a regular t-shirt I realize this is a little high, but this is a unique shirt that features a sport I love so it is well worth the extra few bucks. Plus you can always customize everything before you checkout so that is a bonus as well. The quality was surprisingly good considering we took the cheapest shirt option. It is very thick and a lot softer of a t-shirt than I was expecting for the price. The Image quality was excellent too. It is more of a new style printing that appears to be sort of dyed in to the fabric, instead of the traditional on top screen printed type images. Both the front and back image and text all appear to be centered well and of excellent quality. The one complaint I did have in the whole experience was the wait time. It was right at about 3 weeks from order date to the day I received my shirt. Though, they do make this clear as you are ordering and at checkout. After all each item is made to order. So you just have to be patient and be thinking ahead a bit if you need an item for a gift. All in all this was a great purchase that I am very pleased with, and I will order again. I'm even planning to order a few things for my Christmas shopping list this holiday season.

Disc of the Month Club

Dont let this opportinity slip by. Only 50 subscriptions available!

We just unveiled our Disc Golf Dealer disc of the Month Club plans on GoFund.me. Crowdfunding is an avenue that we never wanted to go down, but due to recent financial set backs this is where we find ourselves. This is an idea I had while our store was still open and we received good in-store feedback about it. However, we were doing all we could just to keep the lights on, rent paid and shelves stocked. So we had to set the idea on the back burner. Now do to circumstances beyond my control I find myself looking for work and slowly sucking dry any savings replenishment we had built up over the last 1 1/2 since we closed our brick and mortar disc store. So basically this is kind of our last ditch effort to turn our passion into our livelihood. The campaign is set up to raise the $2200 we need for 50 Disc of the Month Club welcome kits as well as the Go Fund Me prize level giveaways. This amount will cover 100 DOMC stickers, 80 printed DOMC mini discs, 75 printed DOMC putters, 65 printed DOMC t-shirts and 1 American dream. If we do get funding we intend to keep everything fully transparent by posting regular updates on every item purchased via our GoFund.me page and our blog. So its like our campaign states, we are letting the disc golf masses decide if this business is worthwhile or not. Stay tuned for more updates.

A good way to give disc golf some free promotion

I am always keeping my eyes open for good ways to help promote disc golf, and online promotion is one of the best ways nowadays. One of the best sources of internet traffic today is Twitter with its estimated 200 million users. I search #discgolf on there almost everyday and I see alot of disc golf related tweets. However, I think if we all work together we could get some excellent free advertising for the sport. Maybe even get it into the Trending Topics section one day!! The first thing we would need to do is be sure to put the #discgolf hash tag in all of our tweets. Istead of just typing disc golf just run the words discgolf together and make sure to put the # sign in front of it. Most people do this already, but there are still alot of people that do not. The next thing would be for us to try and all tweet around the same time each day. Or maybe a certain day and time like Thursday or Friday between 8pm-9pm. If you couldnt get to a computer just be sure to set your cell phone up to be able to use Twitter from it. Your tweet can be about a local tournament, a disc golf tip, a round you just played or by simply stating your love for #discgolf. If you would like to see some examples be sure to check out my Twitter panel to the right of this post. Together we can really help push disc golf into the mainstream. If anyone has any suggestions or would like to set up a specific #discgolf Twitter day please mention it in the comments or contact me on my Twitter page or website.
