We just unveiled our Disc Golf Dealer disc of the Month Club plans on GoFund.me. Crowdfunding is an avenue that we never wanted to go down, but due to recent financial set backs this is where we find ourselves. This is an idea I had while our store was still open and we received good in-store feedback about it. However, we were doing all we could just to keep the lights on, rent paid and shelves stocked. So we had to set the idea on the back burner. Now do to circumstances beyond my control I find myself looking for work and slowly sucking dry any savings replenishment we had built up over the last 1 1/2 since we closed our brick and mortar disc store. So basically this is kind of our last ditch effort to turn our passion into our livelihood. The campaign is set up to raise the $2200 we need for 50 Disc of the Month Club welcome kits as well as the Go Fund Me prize level giveaways. This amount will cover 100 DOMC stickers, 80 printed DOMC mini discs, 75 printed DOMC putters, 65 printed DOMC t-shirts and 1 American dream. If we do get funding we intend to keep everything fully transparent by posting regular updates on every item purchased via our GoFund.me page and our blog. So its like our campaign states, we are letting the disc golf masses decide if this business is worthwhile or not. Stay tuned for more updates.
